Unleash Your Adventure

Wherever your travel dreams lead, HWS Adventures brings them to life. We offer tailor-made itineraries designed to uncover Tanzania most breathtaking destinations.

SAFARI HIGHLIGHT

Your journey begins in Arusha City, the vibrant gateway to Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. As the bustle of the city fades behind you, the road leads through peaceful rural landscapes where local life unfolds in its natural rhythm. Maasai herders draped in bright traditional attire can be seen guiding cattle across the open countryside—an early sign of the rich culture and beauty ahead. Over the coming days, you will cover diverse terrain and experience the remarkable contrasts that define Tanzania’s Northern Circuit.

From the elephant-filled woodlands of Tarangire National Park and the lush, wildlife-rich forests of Lake Manyara, to the endless golden plains of the Serengeti and the breathtaking natural amphitheater of the Ngorongoro Crater, your safari offers constant encounters with astonishing wildlife. With our experienced and highly knowledgeable driver guide ensuring your safety and comfort, every game drive becomes an unforgettable moment. As your adventure concludes and you take to the skies on your flight back toward Arusha, a final view of the Serengeti from above offers the perfect time to reflect on the unforgettable memories gathered along this extraordinary journey.

FULL SAFARI ITINERARY

We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.

Day 1: Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha is the safari capital of the country and a bustling ‘tourism driven’ city. You will be met by your driver-guide guide in Arusha and together you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park to start your private safari game drive. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses the park and is the main source of fresh water for the abundant wildlife. This quiet park is famous for its elephant migration, birdlife and authentic safari atmosphere.

You will enjoy a packed lunch at midday and at the end of the afternoon’s game drive, you will make your way to Africa Safari Lake Manyara. On arrival, you will have time to refresh before finishing the day with dinner under the stars and a good night’s sleep in one of our comfy canvas accommodations.

Day 2: Full-day safari game drive Lake Manyara National Park

You only need to open your eyes and walk to the restaurant to enjoy the expansive views of Lake Manyara; the national park you will be exploring for the day. After breakfast, your driver-guide will take you to the entry gates of Lake Manyara N.P., an underestimated gem as far as game parks are concerned. The park offers a big ecological variety in a more condensed area. From the entrance of the park, the road winds through a groundwater forest area where baboons can be seen lounging in the trees and hanging out roadside. The mahogany and acacia trees are inhabited by the famous tree-climbing lions, if you’re lucky you might spot them lazing on a tree branch.

As you make your way out of the dense bushland into the open grassy banks of the lake you will be able to see wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and large buffalo in abundance, grazing away. The lake itself is home to a large number of birds thriving at the water’s edge. More than 400 species have been identified and one of the highlights is the thousands of strolling flamingos. Between all this beauty you have a lunch break at midday and at the end of the afternoon you drive back to Africa Safari Lake Manyara for dinner and a night of peaceful sleep with sweet dreams.

Day 3: Safari game drive Ngorongoro Crater

Be sure to wake up early today, so there is no delay on your descent into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area you will be amazed by the beauty around you. Even more so when you arrive at the edge of the crater and take in the amazing view over one of the natural wonders of this world. The crater of this inactive volcano is approximately 3 million years old, 20 square km in size and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world.

Due to its natural borders, the wildlife in the crater is amazing. The crater is home to the Big Five and offers a good chance to spot the rare black rhino. Throw hyena, zebra, buffalo and elephants into the mix, and you have the perfect canvas for a pretty awesome safari experience. At the end of the afternoon, you head back to the lodge, Africa Safari Lake Manyara, for a well deserved nights’ sleep.

Day 4: Safari transfer drive to Africa Safari Lake Natron for overnight

This day brings you a road trip through northern Tanzania with destination Lake Natron. You depart from Africa Safari Lake Manyara after breakfast. The drive can take up to 4 hours and it’s the perfect way to see different sides of Tanzania’s ever-changing landscapes. As you pass the Rift Valley and drive further towards Lake Natron, you will notice the lush green vegetation slowly exchanging for dry, arid and dusty landscapes.

The occasional Maasai villages passed en route become dots in the distant scenery. The further north you reach, the more remains of old volcanoes rise around you. Among them is Ol Doinyo Lengai, meaning ‘Mountain of God’ in Maasai dialect. This volcano is one of the few that are still active. When you eventually reach Lake Natron, you might perhaps catch its smoke disappearing in the sky. The night is spent in a comfortable bed at Africa Safari Lake Natron.

Day 5: Flamingo lake walk – Road trip to Africa Safari Maasai Boma for overnight

This morning, put on your walking shoes as a Maasai tribesman guides you on a walk around the shores of Lake Natron in search of the Lesser flamingo. Lake Natron is the most important and regular breeding site for Lesser Flamingos in East Africa and during the breeding season, Lake Natron hosts up to 2.5 million flamingos. The majority of egg-laying and hatching takes place from September to April although the peak occurs between October & (early) December.

The long-legged waterfowl may flourish here, but to most other living creatures including small birds, these conditions make survival extremely challenging; however, the Lake Flats do provide a variety of habitats for birds that flourish in the alkali oasis. Around midday, you will depart on a road trip west for an overnight stop in Africa Safari Maasai Boma, where you will have an insight into traditional Maasai life.

Day 6: Full-day game drive Serengeti National Park – Overnight Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.

After a good breakfast at Africa Safari Maasai Boma, you will depart on your adventure back towards Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma. Your driver-guide will take you exploring, following the movement of resident wildlife, while heading towards your accommodation in Ikoma. There will be a stop for a nice picnic lunch along the way. In the afternoon you will reach the border of the park and just 2 km further you will find the staff of Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma welcoming you. This is your place to relax, and a beautiful ‘canvas home’ for a good night of sleep is awaiting you.

Day 7: Early morning safari transfer to Seronera Airstrip – Domestic flight back to Arusha Airport.

After a good night’s sleep, this morning it is departure time. After the last game drive, your vehicle will be taking you to the Seronera airstrip for your flight back to Arusha Airport. After boarding the aircraft, your trip nears the end, but you can still peer out over the wings of the plane and enjoy the magnificent views while flying over Serengeti National Park and admire the changing scenery of the Great Rift Valley. You will land at Arusha Airport with a camera full of pictures to share with friends and family and look back on the amazing memories created on your African endeavour!

Dream trip to the roof of Africa Climbing Kilimanjaro was a dream come true and George and his team made our journey to the roof of Africa so enjoyable. The team of guides looked after our group so well. They were all really knowledgeable and made us feel safe and empowered to complete the trek. They regularly checked our oxygen levels, ensured were were drinking enough water and paced us well to acclimatise to the altitude. On summit day George was determined to get me to the top after I fell behind the other two members of my group. He carried my pack, sang to me, comforted me when I cried, and was so patient even when I was walking slower than I thought was humanly possible. I eventually made it to the summit thanks in no small part to him.George always had the safety and comfort of our group in mind. For example, on summit day he made the decision for us to descend to a lower camp than planned for our final night due to the time spent at altitude that day (as I was slow). The whole team of porters were so friendly and professional and felt like family by the end of the trip.I dream of climbing Mount Meru next and will definitely do it with HWS Adventures when I do.

Couldn’t have been better! George provided the best experience possible for my mom and me. From the first meeting and kind, specific instructions and tips, we knew we were in good hands. George’s entire team was experienced, friendly, welcoming and accommodating! The work these people do to provide comprehensive guidance is phenomenal! I would definitely choose George to climb with again. My mom was able to make it to the top at 81 years of age, thanks to George and his brother, Kaburu’s special attention.

Kilimanjaro Machame Route and Safari This summer, my father and I traveled with HWS Adventures. We climbed Kilimanjaro together and followed it with an incredible safari an experience we still think back to all the time.We chose the Machame route, which turned out to be perfect: stunning scenery, enjoyable hiking, and not overwhelmingly difficult. Our guides were exactly what you’d hope for funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They checked on us every day, made sure we were feeling well, adjusted our pace, and planned breaks so we wouldn’t overexert ourselves. Something we valued greatly about this company is that the porters are paid fairly and their wellbeing is clearly taken seriously. The safari was just as memorable. We spent three days exploring the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, seeing incredible wildlife up close. The lodges were wonderful comfortable and located right inside the parks, so we were surrounded by nature at all times. All in all, it was a fantastic trip for me and my dad one we will never forget.

Excellent adventure to to roof of Africa My kids and I had the pleasure of having George and his team for our expedition to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro via the 7 day Lemosho trail. George and the team were excellent, professional, hard working and saw to our every need while on the mountain. They set up our camp every day, carried our camp bags, cooked all of our meals and even accommodated our food restrictions. He even offered to carry my day pack for me when he saw that I was struggling a bit near the summit. We all successfully summited with their help, encouragement and songs. I can't wait to go back and do the safari next time with George!

Amazing experience with George We completed an incredible 7-day trip to Tanzania that included a Kilimanjaro day hike and a safari experience in December 2024. While we didn’t go on safari with George, he was instrumental in organizing and planning every detail of our journey. From the very start, his responsiveness via WhatsApp made it easy to customize our itinerary, and his careful coordination ensured everything ran smoothly.George also personally led us on our Kilimanjaro day hike, guiding us with patience and enthusiasm while sharing local insights that made the experience unforgettable. Though we’re not long-distance hikers, he made sure the route fit our pace perfectly. Thanks to George’s thoughtful planning and the team’s dedication, this once-in-a-lifetime adventure was seamless from start to finish. The Serengeti luxury camp was a highlight, and we can’t recommend this experience highly enough.
