This 14-day safari is the perfect journey for travelers seeking a comprehensive and immersive Tanzanian adventure. Designed to showcase the country’s incredible biodiversity, landscapes, and culture, the tour takes you through some of the most iconic destinations in the Northern and Southern Circuits, including Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Ndutu.

Over two weeks, you will encounter abundant wildlife, from lions and elephants to zebras, wildebeests, and countless bird species, while exploring diverse habitats—sprawling savannahs, lush forests, wetlands, and the famous Serengeti kopjes. In addition to thrilling game drives and wilderness camping experiences, the safari offers opportunities to connect with local communities, observe traditional ways of life, and appreciate the stunning landscapes, geological features, and natural beauty that make Tanzania a top safari destination. FULL SAFARI ITINERARY

We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.

Day 1: Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Tarangire National Park for the day game drive with your picnic lunch boxes. In the evening drive to the lodge/camp for the dinner and overnight. The park Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania that is most famous for its elephant migration, birding, and quiet authentic safari atmosphere. The majority of travelers to the region either miss out Tarangire altogether or venture into the park for a matter of hours leaving parts of Tarangire virtually untouched.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will proceed to a walking safari with an armed ranger. Later depart for a game drive until the evening. One of the largest national parks in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attached to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

Day 3: Tarangire - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Depart after breakfast for an extended morning game drive. In the afternoon, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart to Ngorongoro for crater tour with your picnic lunch boxes.

Day 5: Ngorongoro / Ndutu Controlled Area

After breakfast, depart from Ngorongoro to Ndutu controlled area for a game drive with your picnic lunch boxes.

Day 6: Ndutu Controlled Area

After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive at Ndutu Controlled area with your picnic lunch boxes.

Day 7: Ndutu Controlled Area / Central Serengeti

After breakfast, depart for a day game drive at Ndutu Controlled area with your picnic lunch boxes.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)

After a morning breakfast, depart with a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park with your picnic lunch boxes. Game driving safari until in the evening.

Day 9: Flight from Seronera to Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, transfer to the Ndutu airstrip for your flight to Selous departing at 9:50 AM and arriving at 12:50 (Coastal Air flight). Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by the driver and depart for a game drive.

Day 10 - 11: Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive at Selous Game reserve.

Day 12: Ruaha National Park

Take a flight from Selous to Ruaha (flight departing at 9:20 am arriving at 11:20 am). You will be picked up and drive to Ruaha National park. In the evening drive to the lodge.

Day 13: Game Drives at Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, depart for a full day game drive at Ruaha National Park.

Day 14: Fly from Ruaha to Dar Es Salaam

Light aircraft flight at Ruaha – Dar Es Salaam (flight departing at 11:45 am and arriving at 13:50 – Coastal air flight.

Do you arrange airport Transfer?

Yes of course, We arrange airport transfers for our clients at an extra cost of $50 per vehicle. Normally, the drafted itineraries have excluded the transfers before and after safari. We however advise you to give prior information to our travel specialists before boarding your flight to Tanzania.

Do you arrange accommodation after safari?

Yes of course, We arrange for accommodation when requested by our clients at an extra cost depending with the accommodation level they will prefer to stay in. Normally, the drafted itineraries have excluded the accommodations after safari. For any accommodation bookings, remember to give us prior information of the comfort level you would prefer and we shall advice which hotels will suit you best before we get all confirmations on program.

When is the best time to go on the Tanzania safari?

Tanzania Safari holidays are good all-year-round. Because of such close proximity to the equator, Tanzania undergoes two distinct dry and wet seasons. But the best-best time depends on the type of Tanzania safari activity you choose. However, the dry season of June to October is considered to be the best time to go on the Tanzania safari.

When is the best time to see the great wildebeest migration in Tanzania?

During the period of December to March, the Serengeti Migration congregates in large herds around Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of Tanzania Safari. So, the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti is usually during June and July and January to February is the perfect time to see the wildebeest calving.

What does a Tanzania Safari cost?

Ideally, there is no fixed price range for Tanzania safari. There are several factors such as time, numbers of days, and accommodations types that influence the Tanzania safari cost. Dream trip to the roof of Africa Climbing Kilimanjaro was a dream come true and George and his team made our journey to the roof of Africa so enjoyable. The team of guides looked after our group so well. They were all really knowledgeable and made us feel safe and empowered to complete the trek. They regularly checked our oxygen levels, ensured were were drinking enough water and paced us well to acclimatise to the altitude.On summit day George was determined to get me to the top after I fell behind the other two members of my group. He carried my pack, sang to me, comforted me when I cried, and was so patient even when I was walking slower than I thought was humanly possible. I eventually made it to the summit thanks in no small part to him.George always had the safety and comfort of our group in mind. For example, on summit day he made the decision for us to descend to a lower camp than planned for our final night due to the time spent at altitude that day (as I was slow).The whole team of porters were so friendly and professional and felt like family by the end of the trip.I dream of climbing Mount Meru next and will definitely do it with HWS Adventures when I do.

Kilimanjaro Machame Route and Safari This summer, my father and I traveled with HWS Adventures. Excellent adventure to to roof of Africa My kids and I had the pleasure of having George and his team for our expedition to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro via the 7 day Lemosho trail. George and the team were excellent, professional, hard working and saw to our every need while on the mountain. They set up our camp every day, carried our camp bags, cooked all of our meals and even accommodated our food restrictions. He even offered to carry my day pack for me when he saw that I was struggling a bit near the summit. We all successfully summited with their help, encouragement and songs.
